How unpatriotic!

It’s the American people that are hunkering down, rolling up their sleeves, restructuring and making it work. They have no choice. Obama gives absolutely no credit to the hardworking, American people. Is he blind or what? No wait, it’s all about him – I forgot, duh.

I think since the government hasn’t monkeyed around with new stimulus plans lately is why we’re seeing things maybe get a little better. When they kept doing that, things were not getting better. We kind of had to wait for the dust to settle to get working. So Obama not doing anything has helped more than anything.

I have a small business. The stimulus money has not helped us. If anything, it has done the opposite. Some customers of ours have had to close their doors. What we did to get through this was roll up our sleeves, trim some fat, work harder and find more creative ways to bring in business. As I recall, Obama was not here guiding us through any of that and he did not make any of those decisions for us. So how can he take credit?

I’m sure I’m not the only one that can say that.

That’s a big number (it’s a thousand billion!). Thanks, Mr. Obama, we’re in the poor house now but that’s all part of your plan to make us even more dependent on the government, I know.

Yeah, it is like Obama hit the accelerator when he should have hit the brakes with spending. Well, we knew this but apparently the Obama Administration didn’t see it coming:

- The average length of official unemployment increased to 24.5 weeks, the longest since government began tracking this data in 1948. The number of long-term unemployed (i.e., for 27 weeks or more) has now jumped to 4.4 million, an all-time high.

…It may have made him unpopular in parts of the Obama administration, but Vice President Joe Biden was right when he said a week ago that the administration misread how bad the economy was and how effective the stimulus would be.

It’s like I said, Obama knew the state of things when he was running for the job of President and when he walked into office. There’s no blaming he can do. That’s pretty wimpy. Man up, dude. We’re not idiots out here even if the media repeats the same thing 500 times – well, I can speak for 58 million of us, at least – not the rest, although some in the middle seem to be seeing the light and regret who they voted for. Oops.

Joe Biden admits the Obama Administration was just guessing about how to fix the economy. This is who half of you out there voted for… I think you were duped. Sorry to tell you the bad news.

Would Bush or Cheney or any Republican be able to get away with saying that? Not hardly.

The good news is that 95% of America’s taxpayers will benefit from at least one of the tax breaks. Unlike the 2008 Economic Stimulus, there will not be stimulus rebate payment checks in 2009 for the majority of Americans. While some of the relief will be paid this year, the majority of the relief for an average taxpayer is most likely to come next year.

Stocks Slide as Bank Worries Slam Wall Street (www.cnbc.com)

Stocks tumbled Tuesday as investors faced a fresh sign of the deepening recession and dilution worries gnawed at bank stocks. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down nearly 300 points, or more than 3 percent.

…Worries about more bank nationalizations also weighed on investors returning from the three-day weekend after markets were closed for Presidents’ Day Monday.

Bank nationalization. That means these stimulus plans that the Democrats keep writing up. Socialism is scaring investors.

So stop it, Government! Stay out of the economy and it will recover. The more you mess with it, the longer it’s going to take and it’ll take much longer. I guess it’s too late now though. Obama’s signing the “American Recovery and Reinvestment Act ” in an hour or two.
