Obama isn’t quite acting like a President yet where you delegate and get others to do the work – like a manager. It’s no wonder because he really has no experience doing this. He was a Senator and that’s what they do. He was a Community Organizer and that’s what they do. So it seems he’s still growing into his managerial role as President.

I wonder when he’ll figure this out. He still seems to wake up every morning and have some new agenda on his mind.

The Obama Health Care (“ObamaCare”) special last night (cough… infomercial) seemed to be dominated by Obama. He even gave 4 minute answers to questions – if it takes you that long to answer a question, you’re not answering the question but just blowing smoke… we’re not dumb although the media is eating that up. It seems Americans are starting to see through that though.

ABC ObamaCare Special Turns Into Presidential Filibuster (newsbusters.org/blogs/)

…the president spent more than twice as much time as his questioners vaguely answering or not answering the questions asked of him. But the network consistently presented the event as part of the need to fix a “broken system.”

…ABC’s “Good Morning America” co-host Diane Sawyer billed the event as “a serious conversation” about the issue…

Ratings were actually poor, too.

It seems to me that if you have to get this TV time to sell it to the American people, it might not be that good. A good plan sells itself.

Whatever plan they come up with, we should ask our Congressmen if they would actually switch to that plan. They won’t have to – they have a great plan, funded by you and I. If they won’t switch, why should we?

“So where’s my rebate check?” you may be asking yourself… well, you’re not getting one this time. Here’s a decent recap of it from H&R Block:

Economic Stimulus 2009 (digits.hrblock.com)

…the stimulus plan includes tax relief for middle-income families and spending programs for things like transportation, environmental and broadband infrastructure projects, aid for states and energy assistance, all designed to create millions of good-paying jobs.

The good news is that 95% of America’s taxpayers will benefit from at least one of the tax breaks. Unlike the 2008 Economic Stimulus, there will not be stimulus rebate payment checks in 2009 for the majority of Americans. While some of the relief will be paid this year, the majority of the relief for an average taxpayer is most likely to come next year.

If you ask me, Obama is micromanaging. He’s a Senator, that’s what they do and that’s in his nature. He hasn’t been a Governor before and hasn’t really been in any kind of role where he’s had to delegate things and not micromanage.

Look at his first Presidential Address on TV the other night. He took way too long to answer questions and it was like he was trying to convince everyone instead of showing leadership. If he were leading, he’d have shorter, more authoritative answers. He did defer to Geithner on economic issues so that was not micro managing, ok – but he didn’t seem to have an authoritative grasp on the economic plan at all.

It’s going to take him some time to get used to things and for now, his inexperience is being chalked up to “change.” That’s weak and we see right through that. The media thinks we’re dumb or something.

Here’s one example but just watch for it and we’ll see more for sure:

Another Attack on the Constitution: Obama Hijacks the Census (www.prisonplanet.com)

It’s another shot across the bow of the Constitution: the White House has announced it will micromanage the census. It is said Obama and crew — you can almost hear Rahm Emanuel cracking his knuckles in Obama’s ear — decided to lord over the census after California Rep. Barbara Lee, chair of the Congressional Black Caucus, and Hispanic groups complained to the White House about Judd Gregg, the Republican senator from New Hampshire slated to head the Commerce Department. Lee, the Caucus, and Hispanic groups complained Gregg couldn’t be trusted to conduct to run the census, at least not to their liking, and in response the Obama administration hijacked the census.

And with this Stimulus Plan, it’s going to allow the Federal Government to mircomanage any business that gets hold of that money. It’s crazy how there were no stipulations put on the last round but the CEOs of those companies were put over coals for how they spent it. Well, that’s not their fault – there were no rules… hello? They’re made out to look like bad guys – sure, I probably wouldn’t agree with how every penny was spent, but Congress didn’t have enough sense to put enough rules on it… so what happened? Banks kept the money and didn’t lend it because they had to first look good on paper.

I got off-topic there, sorry…

We’re beginning the era of government micromanagement with Obama and the Democrats at the helm. Just watch. The government’s gonna be all in our Kool-aid.
