Let’s Soak the Rich!

Yeah, Obama says we need to make the rich pay their fare share. So what’s up with this then?

Workers making $30,000 will take a bigger hit on their pay than those earning $500,000 under new fiscal deal (dailymail.co.uk)

Middle-class workers will take a bigger hit to their income proportionately than those earning between $200,000 and $500,000 under the new fiscal cliff deal, according to the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center.

Earners in the latter group will pay an average 1.3 percent more – or an additional $2,711 – in taxes this year, while workers making between $30,000 and $200,000 will see their paychecks shrink by as much as 1.7 percent – or up to $1,784 – the D.C.-based think tank reported.

Overall, nearly 80 percent of households will pay more money to the federal government as a result of the fiscal cliff deal.

So if 80% of households are paying more money in taxes… how didn’t we go off the fiscal cliff? Things could have just stayed as they were, right? No, Obama stepped in and changed it. THAT is what happened.

Obama Won – I’m in Shock

I’m still in shock and don’t know what to say.

So is Obama Desperate or What Now?

I see Obama needs Katy Perry and Bruce Springsteen at his events in order to draw a crowd. Contrast that with thousands being turned away from Mitt Romney campaign stops because there’s not enough room (and people walking miles to get there). Yes, that’s anecdotal but it’s not a story you’ll hear on the evening news because they want you to vote for Obama (not sure why).

And why is Obama here in Madison, WI today? Again? He was just here. I don’t get it. If you’ve never been to Madison, you do not understand it. It’s super liberal – no, like SUPER liberal. It’s insane. It’s a beautiful place with the lakes and everything but you kind of have to hide being a conservative until you get outside of the bubble and a few miles out of town. There’s this “hippy-liberal” vibe all over town here. Madison is the absolute LAST place Obama should need to come to try to get more votes. That’s another sign of desperation. And he’s been here twice in the last month or so as well as other places around Wisconsin.

So… Why?

Is Obama trying to just get his base voters? Is that what he’s left with?

I Saw the “2016: Obama’s America” Movie

All I have to say is wow. He nailed it. If you haven’t seen this, you should. It’s scary. It would have been a good Halloween movie – that’s how scary it is. I just cannot imagine what Obama would do if he didn’t have to worry about getting elected again. My heart sinks at that thought and most people simply don’t understand the consequences. We’re talking end of the world type stuff. Crazy.

We didn’t know anything about Obama four years ago. Now we know a LOT. Ok, so we voted a black man as President, let’s get over that and get on with things.

Racist Voting

If you have or if you’re going to vote for Obama because of his skin color, that’s racist. If you’re voting for him based on his race, that’s racist. Simple.

Sure, I’m white and I vote for white guys but that’s not racist. I vote because of who the candidate is and what they stand for. I’d vote for any race of candidate as long as they matched up with what I believe. I really like Herman Cain for a while and I think Bobby Jindal would be good, too.

Tie it All Together, Tone

Alright, I’ve brought up a few topics here. I tend to ramble sometime and I don’t like to write too much but get straight to the point. Let me tie this all up in a bow.

Tomorrow is Election Day. Maybe you’ve early voted (which I’m not totally for and don’t totally trust) or maybe you’re going to vote tomorrow like me. All signs point to a Romney win. I don’t believe these polls where the candidates are tied but I’m very glad they’re saying that because it’ll get everyone to the polls. I like the commercial I’m hearing where they say that when you step into the voting booth, you are alone and it’s just you making a decision. That’s true. Trust your gut. You don’t have to tell anyone who you voted for – that’s your business.

I like Romney. I really do. He’s already rich. I heard he’s going to donate his salary to charity. The guy knows business and knows how to negotiate big deals. He’s smart. The guy is honest and is actually a people person. There’s all these stories about Romney befriending sick teenagers in hospitals and things like that. The guy really cares and has a moral compass. He smiles, he looks Presidential and really does look like more of a leader than a guy who sticks his finger in the air to see which way to wind is blowing (seeing what other people think first before making his decision). We’ve tried Obama. It clearly didn’t work. It’s time for a change and we’ve got someone up there that’s way better than John McCain (I really didn’t like him that much).

Good luck, America!

Why to Not Elect Obama

If you’re still not sure if you should vote for Obama, let a 13 year old who did her own research (versus just listen to the evening news, which is biased and what most people do and think they are informed) found out. She gives a report card on Obama and Romney:

-T

Why to Not Vote for Obama

Election day is soon. Early voting has already started. Here are some reasons and resources to not vote for Obama in case you’re undecided.

He’s Un-Presidential

Sure, he’s a great speaker when he’s reading his teleprompter but besides that, he hasn’t been that ‘Presidential’ – at all. It’s like he doesn’t belong (and no, not because of his race or anything).

You had President Reagan who always wore a tie and jacket in the Oval Office and it was the same with other Presidents. We’ve often seen Obama without a tie and his feet up on the desk. It’s stuff like that.

Obama did some strange things and didn’t adhere to tradition. He didn’t even say goodbye to the outgoing President when he took office. He took lots of expensive vacations. Stuff like that.

Obama has gone to other countries and has bowed and apologized for America. It’s like he wants to please other countries than stand up for America. It’s not clear to us why he does this.

He’s Reactive, Not Proactive

Obama is your typical “finger in the air” politician. He lives by the polls. He reacts. He didn’t print up his plan until people started asking during the debates. Why? Shouldn’t a President already have a clear plan? Especially if he has already been in office.

On gay marriage, he was first for it, then against it, then for it. Well, that might have been due to a Joe Biden gaffe but you can see, he’s not decisive. There’s no plan – he just reacts to what people think. That’s not leading. Say what you want about Bush but the man had a plan and stuck to it even in the face of opposition. Obama doesn’t have those kinds of guts, he’s wimpy.

What Did Obama Get Done?

Not much. He hasn’t lived up to what he said he would get done.

Yes, we have Obama Care but we’re finding that’s a mess… instead of people saving money, like he promised, we’re seeing people now pay MORE for their health care – and Obama Care isn’t even in full effect yet. It was also scored wrong – there was some wrong math, we found out and it was also not scored for the full amount of time.

In fact, companies like Olive Garden are switching workers from full time to part time so that they don’t have to pay increased costs for Obama Care. This is happening all over the place. As you can see, Obama Care is having the reversed effect.

There has been no budget! Obama is actually still using President Bush’s budget. Can you believe that? He complains about what Bush left him and is still using his budget. That makes no sense (is confusing). Obama is going to go down in history as the only President who couldn’t even pass a budget. He even had problems with his fellow Democrats agreeing to what he proposed (which there was no actual Obama budget on paper – he only had a speech about it, which can’t be used as a budget).

Economy – More People on Food Stamps and Jobs

Obama clearly doesn’t want people to earn money themselves and instead wants them on food stamps.

There were even months were there have been no jobs added (see August 2011).

Economy – Tax the Rich?

That’s his plan – tax the rich. That doesn’t work. Here’s why…

First, the Bush Tax Cuts will expire on Jan 1, 2013. That tax hits everyone – not just the rich. Obama says just the rich and that’s simply not true at all. I’m not sure how he can say that. Starting in January, you will have more money taken out of your paycheck and less money to take home. Obama knows this and is not planning on extending these tax cuts.

Second, rich people create jobs. You don’t want to work for someone that’s poor, right? Poor business owners can’t absorb risk (the months that are bad) and then can’t afford to pay you or stay open. You want to work for someone that’s rich.

When you tax something, you want less of it. When the government subsidizes (pays for) something, they want more of it. When you tax the rich, you’re saying that the government wants less rich people and that means less jobs because only rich people can create jobs.

Economy – Obama Inherited a Mess

He did? What a wimp! Has any other President said this? He said on day one that he would take care of everything.

So what did Obama do? He did the Stimulus! Yes, we bought salmon for $2 million each! That will fix things! Not!

Economy – Education Helps the Economy?

Not really. Not immediately, that’s for sure. Maybe in 12 years when kids get through school but not in the next few months. We need an immediate fix. That’s pretty basic and Obama’s solution is too far into the future.

And what about people who are working now? They got jobs with how schools have been. The system works just fine (in general). Sure, schools should be improved but it’s not a direct fix for the economy right now. Obama doesn’t get it.

What he really wants to do is just get more money to teacher unions – where his buddies are. That’s all that’s about. It’s not about the kids. Follow the money.

Obama Scandals

There are at least two. One is this “Fast and Furious” one where the government (under President Barack Obama) put guns into the hands of Mexican criminals. Many Mexicans and some Americans were killed because of this.

The second one is the one that’s brewing now – this Libyan Embassy attack. It’s a mess. Americans got killed and Obama really didn’t do anything or retaliate and this kind of thing has only emboldened terrorists. And on foreign policy, Obama thinks that because he killed Bin Laden, we have no more terrorist enemies. That’s very dangerous thinking for someone in charge of this country’s security (your family).

Obama’s way of raising money for his campaign has always been shady, too.

He’s Just Kind of Creepy

We’re not quite sure if he was really born an American. His past is unknown or unclear. He won’t release college transcripts. He’s been associated with some less than reputable characters (known bombers, etc.), too. He’s also kind of creepy. Remember that the media wasn’t happy with him his first 24 hours as President – he spent too much time with donors – an indication of where his priorities were.

Still not sure? Read on (I’m updating and adding more here):

CNN: Why you shouldn’t vote for Obama
Since Obama took office, median household income has declined more than $4,000. More people are on food stamps than ever before — 46.7 million. The poverty rate is around 15%, the highest since 1993. The average retail price of gasoline has more than doubled under Obama, rising from $1.84 per gallon to more than $3.80 per gallon. In spite of this, he stopped the approval of the Keystone pipeline for further review.

Don’t Vote for Obama If You Like Your Job, CEO Tells Employees (inthesetimes.com)
So, when you make your decision to vote, ask yourself, which candidate understands the economics of business ownership and who doesn’t? Whose policies will endanger your job? Answer those questions and you should know who might be the one capable of protecting and saving your job. While the media wants to tell you to believe the “1 percenters” are bad, I’m telling you they are not. They create most of the jobs. If you lose your job, it won’t be at the hands of the “1%”; it will be at the hands of a political hurricane that swept through this country.

Why I’m voting for Romney (nypost.com)
Each time I mention that I voted for Barack Obama in 2008, I get a blast from some who didn’t. “How could you be so dumb?” is a typical response to my confession.
It is certainly a confession — of error. Obama fooled me once, but not twice. I’m voting for Mitt Romney Nov. 6th.
To understand why I’m switching, it helps to understand why I backed Obama four years ago. I am a Democrat, but vote as an independent. I see people, not parties, so Obama’s label played no role.

Why I Will Not Vote for Obama Again (ethiopianreview.com)
In May 2012, President Obama publicly stated that his views had evolved and that he now believes that same sex marriage must be allowed in America. He basically made a complete U-turn on what he said 4 years ago, a complete betrayal of trust, many men and women of faith had in him.

Is this a value of Ethiopian-Americans? Using his bully pulpit, if the President of the United States, continues to be the unofficial spokesperson of the organized attack against traditional marriage, wouldn’t a vote for him be considered as a vote against traditional marriage?

Conclusion

Thank you for reading this. It shows me that you’re researching and looking for answers. You’re not just one of these people that checks the headlines of the evening news and believes it (a.k.a.”drinking the Kool-Aid” like a lemming (no brain)). You have a brain and realize that elections matter and have consequences. We can have the America that we used to have and you researching and looking at your options for your vote is important.

Many soldiers have died over the years for us to have our freedom – and our freedom to vote and elect our President. It’s a fought for privilege that we have. Don’t take it lightly.

Hey Wisconsin, Check Out Tammy Baldwin

What I like to ask after every election is, “Did Tammy Bald win?”

Ok, all kidding aside – here’s Tammy Baldwin:

H.R. 6109: New Bill Requires Asking Children to Declare their Sexual Orientation (ppjg.me)

Really? That’s what she wants. Stuff like that. She’s the most liberal member of Congress. That’s common knowledge. She’s more extreme on health care than Obama.

Wisconsin, do not vote for this woman. Please. I live in Madison and I’ve seen her in action. Please don’t do it. Please!

That’s Our President… Acting ‘Presidential’

I mean just look at Romney and Obama in the debates and which one looks and acts more presidential? Romeny could keep his cool much easier (ok, there were moments). But why? This is what Romney does. Being in business meetings and deals teaches you a lot. You maintain your cool because you never know what’s coming next. You really learn to control your emotions – because when you don’t, you come off looking like a child, not an adult.

Un-Presidential Name Calling Hits a New Low

And the latest thing Obama has done is call Romney a ‘bullshitter.’ Yeah, that’s not presidential at all. Come on, man.

Obama: Romney’s a ‘Bulls—–’ (weeklystandard.com)

First of all, you don’t talk like that as a President. Your discourse has to be “G” rated or at the worst, “PG” rated (not PG-13). If you can’t repeat what a sitting President (or candidate for President) says to your kids, something’s way wrong.

Second, if anyone’s lying, it is Obama. The fact checks on the last debate are laughable (and both guys got some things wrong, of course). Obama lied through his teeth. Check it out.

Let’s REALLY Move Forward and Leave the Past Behind

Let’s get Obama out and get back to normal. Let’s get business going and get out of this funk we’ve been in.

Obama Still Operating Under Bush’s Budget

I heard this on the radio today and it’s a great point. President Obama is still operating under President Bush’s budget!

The President and Democrats have failed to pass a budget while Obama has been President. Crazy. They couldn’t even get that done. And they couldn’t get it done with a super majority either.

What kind of leader is this? He can’t even get a budget passed? And passing a budget is a law, actually. President Obama broke the law here.

Who in the world wants four more years of this when the guy isn’t even concerned about being re-elected? It would only get worse. This has to end.

-T

How Can Obama Blame Romney for Libya?

That’s what Obama is doing. Romney isn’t even president yet – even though Obama says “when I was president.”

Every DAY that goes by without something being done is giving strength to terrorists. Yes, every DAY. President Obama doesn’t even realize this. We, the American people, do. One of our Ambassadors was killed – along with some other Americans. Why is nothing being done? Obama doesn’t even seem to know what happened. That’s no leader.

-T

Romney’s Taxes

I just want to get one thing clear:

Romney pays a buttload of taxes!

He does.

That 15% or whatever? That’s on money that has already been taxed. He’s getting taxed twice or maybe even three times.

When you get your paycheck, you get taxes taken out. This is done mainly so that you don’t have to come up with lots of money on April 15th and it keeps a stream of money coming in to the government.

With Romney, he doesn’t work. He really has no job. He’s rich, right? He doesn’t have to work. He has money invested in places and basically lives off the money that he makes on the money – kind of like having a savings account that makes interest… except his savings account is huge.

Mitt Romney takes some of that money out so that he has money to live on and buy things with. When he takes the money that he’s made (with his investments), he has to pay taxes on it… again. Just like you have to pay taxes in the interest in your savings account.

Capital gains are the profits from an investment, whether in stocks, bonds, mutual funds, real estate, or collectibles. Find tax rules for calculating your capital gain, tax rates, and tips for minimizing your capital gains tax. (about.com)

And then the money that he got might also be have corporate taxes on it. Those are 30% or more. So Mitt Romney might actually be taxed three times on that money.

There’s no way you can say that he doesn’t pay enough taxes. No way at all. He over pays. That’s how our tax system works. Look it up and do more research if you want.

Should Rich People Get Taxed a Lot?

Well, think about it. Rich people generally invest their money because then they can make more. Those investments fuel our economy.

If you’re starting a new business for yourself, you’re going to need money, right? You’ll need a space to rent. Maybe some business cards, computers, desks, signs, a lawyer to set you up, someone to help you with accounting, advertising, a website, phone service, Internet service, maybe some vehicles, and so on. And then if you’re going to hire some employees, you’re going to need some money in the bank to pay them because you might not be profitable for a while.

Starting a business is taking huge risks (I know). You invest time and lots of money. It might not work out. It could fail. Many small businesses do.

So you either need some seed money or a loan. Some people take on a second mortgage or else they get a loan. Either way, you’re going to a bank. This is called “access to capital” (capital = “money”). If banks don’t have money to lend, then you can’t do anything. You can buy things from other companies that you need or have money to hire people.

If rich people are investing less, then there’s less money for banks to lend. Get it?

If rich people are being taxed more, then they cannot let other people use their money. Also, they have less incentive to take risks and invest that money.

Let me give an example of that on a small scale.

Lemonade Stand Example

Let’s say you have a lemonade stand. For each cup, you make $0.25. You start out slow but then keep investing what you make and pretty soon, you have 25 stands. Each stand makes $10 per day (after you pay for employees, lemons, sugar, cups and advertising), so that’s $250 per day. You invest that money again and create more locations. You now have 50 stands that make $15 per day. That’s $750 per day.

For taxes, let’s say that when you were making $250 per day, you were only taxed at 15% of what you made, which is $37.50 because you were not considered to be making much money by the government. You are left with a profit of $212.50. Life is good.

Now that you’re making $750 per day, you are considered to be rich by the government because you moved into a different tax bracket (level). Your $750 per day is going to be taxed at 60%. You are now paying $450 in taxes and ending up with a real profit of $300.

So by doubling your business, you went from $212,50 per day to $300. That’s only $87.50 for all that work that you did.

Where, then, is the incentive (motivation) to keep working hard to grow your business if the government is going to take more and more?

There is none. It’s not worth it at all if that is what the government is going to do to you.

Because of this, you’re not going to buy more stands, hire more people (jobs) or buy more lemons, cups or sugar. The company (people) that make the stands for you will have less work. The people that grow and bring you lemons, cups and sugar will get less business from you, too. Their businesses won’t be as strong. You won’t be able to provide more jobs to people either because you won’t be opening more stands.

This is basically what Obama is saying when he wants to tax the rich or make the rich pay their fair share.

Got it?

Obama Has Spent $11 for Every $7!

How in the world can President Obama say that he’s fiscally sound or say that he has a good plan?

The 7-Eleven Presidency (weeklystandard.com)

In the wake of the Treasury Department’s newly released summary of federal spending for 2012, it’s now possible to detail just how profligate the Obama years have been. Here’s the upshot: Under Obama, for every $7 we’ve had, we’ve spent nearly $11 (or, to be more exact, $10.95). That’s like a family that makes $70,000 a year — and is already knee-deep in debt — blowing nearly $110,000 a year.

I guess it’s easy to spend other people’s money, huh?

Oh wait, that’s our money!

This is not a plan. This is not a solution. Who in the world would want more of this? I mean, even if you’re poor and rely on the government, you don’t want a government that is broke. Where does that leave you? They run out of money and you’re on the street.

Obama’s talking about how the rich are paying, blah, blah, blah. He doesn’t care about the poor. If he did, this would not be the right plan at all.

The Second Debate

I was impressed with Romney because he had the numbers. He had the facts. This is natural for any business owner or executive. They know the numbers on things because they live and breathe them. They’re into those numbers like crazy because their business (and the employees in that business) depend on things to add up right. So I liked that a lot. The more and more I see Romney, the more I’m impressed with him.

Obama, on the other hand, was in a fight where the odds were in his favor and he was adequate. He was better than the first debate but had no vision. He didn’t lay out anything for what he’s going to do. This means that he was mainly defensive. People saw that. Obama dodged lots of questions and didn’t even answer what people were asking.

I also caught Obama saying “When I was President” which I felt was odd. A slip? Here’s more on that:

Obama Says “When I Was President” At Debate (realclearpolitics.com)

I liked how to two were able to talk to each other a bit. That was odd but it was good.

The moderator was terrible. She was obviously biased and tried to help Obama quite a bit. Obama got more time again, too.

Both sides probably felt like they came out winners. We’ll find out in three weeks.

Obama: More Concerned About Nicki Minaj?

Oh, good – I feel better about the country now!

President Obama thinks Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey can sort out ‘Idol’ feud (theclicker.today.com)

The President of the United States has weighed in on the greatest feud of our time. And by that we mean yes, Barack Obama has commented on the on-set tensions between “American Idol” hosts Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey.

Ryan Beats Biden

The VP debate was interesting.

We had Joe Biden being incredibly rude with all the smirking. What was that? Paul Ryan on the other hand, was calm and collected – very professional, which is what a Vice President should be. It showed me that Paul Ryan would make a much better Vice President of the United States.

Then Biden was trying to appeal to the Democratic base. Why? To make up for what Obama didn’t do in the first Presidential debate? His off the cuff mentions of the “47%” were definitely not directed at undecided voters. I would bet many of them didn’t even know what that meant but his base sure would. That’s one example but there are more that can be drawn. The Democrats clearly were not aiming correctly.

I kind of can’t wait to see what Saturday Night Live is going to do with Joe Biden’s smirks. It’s going to be pretty funny!

Romney is a Fraud

Yes, he definitely is… that is, if you think Romney is the guy that the Obama campaign has made him out to be. There is no comparison.

And that’s what the Obama campaign actually believes… that Romney has changed. I even have a friend that’s a liberal and he’s drinking the Kool-aid thinking that Romney changed. I can’t blame him. He hasn’t been fed the real Romney.

So yeah, it makes perfect sense that someone who watched the debate and who never checked into finding out who Mitt Romney really is would think that he’s something different. This type of person is just spoon fed by the major media outlets and Obama commercials and maybe late night comedians. That’s as far as they go. They trust the media and drink the Kool-aid. That’s your average American voter and that’s what the Obama campaign is counting on… those types of voters that don’t dig for the truth. The campaign has those people right where they want them – like mindless drones.

The Bottom Line

Bottom line… if you’re viewing Mitt Romney through the Obama lens, then yes, Romney looks different… because he is. He is not how Obama wants you to view him.

Romney is an honest guy that speaks truth from his heart. He doesn’t have to have writers come up with lines and follow sanctioned talking points to cover things up. You can tell that when you see him on stage next to Obama. That is why Obama lost the first debate.

-T

I Was Wrong and Obama’s Acting Like a Debate Loser

I’m glad I was wrong yesterday saying how the media would say that Obama won the debate. I just bet that some of them had stories written and had to start over… maybe even after 5 minutes into the debate.

My Favorite Parts of the Debate

I definitely liked when Romney had to basically tell Obama that Obama was acting like his kids when Obama kept bringing up the 5 trillion dollar thing the third time. That was awesome.

And then the moderator kept trying to help Obama and that didn’t even work.

Obama’s stance and looking down all the time was so defeating.

Today – Obama Trying to Recover

What do they call it, “sour grapes?” Obama’s saying things like “The Romney that was there yesterday…” as if it was somebody else or something. I don’t get that and the way he was talking today made him look like a wimp. He’s making excuses and stuff. It’s just too little, too late.

Obama’s out there saying all the things that he could not say to Romney’s face. He had all these lines prepared but the “5 trillion” one didn’t work so he could not use any of the other ones that he had prepared ahead of time.

And Obama’s here in Madison today trying to get a boost, I guess. It’s basically raining liberals here and he’s trying to fire them up apparently.

Crazy.
