Obama Bill Sets Date For Troop Withdrawal (www.washingtonpost.com)

Obama’s legislation, offered on the Senate floor last night, would remove all combat brigades from Iraq by March 31, 2008.

That would have been a mistake.

And then he did have to change his tune on the whole thing:

It’s been 2 years. Obama knew what he was getting into when he took the job. Obama has voted for everything that has gotten us into this situation – even when he wasn’t even President yet. People know that Bush has nothing to do with where we are now and to tell us this just show us how stupid you think we are. It’s an insult to our intelligence.

Yeah, Bush had 52 straight weeks of job creation. Obama has gone the other way and destroyed everything. Why is Obama going into a losing fight? It makes no sense, but I like it.

People who don’t have jobs, who can’t get raises, who will see their taxes go up in January 2011, who can’t take vacations with their families like they did when Bush was President just aren’t going to buy this campaign that Obama’s Presidency has to do with George Bush.

Obama will look like a wimp, too. What President proclaims that he has failed and cannot do things better than his predecessor? None have so far up until now. Why did he take this job if he could not handle it? Obama claiming defeat shows all of his broken promises, too. All he promised was that things would get fixed. That’s what he ran on. He ran on beating Bush and Bush, who is out of office, is still beating him now since Obama can’t make things better.

So please use this! PLEASE!

Obama bemoans ‘diversions’ of IPod, Xbox era (www.google.com)

“You’re coming of age in a 24/7 media environment that bombards us with all kinds of content and exposes us to all kinds of arguments, some of which don’t always rank all that high on the truth meter,” Obama said at Hampton University, Virginia.

“With iPods and iPads and Xboxes and PlayStations, — none of which I know how to work — information becomes a distraction, a diversion, a form of entertainment, rather than a tool of empowerment, rather than the means of emancipation,” Obama said.

Are we finding too much about what Obama is doing? Is that the problem? Or can’t he handle the job? He did something a few weeks ago where he ditched the press and didn’t show up where he was supposed to so that he could get away from them. Is this job too hard for him or what?

Each family in the US owes $300,000.00 to pay off our national debt – thanks to Obama.

Not only has Obama spent more in his first 6 months than Bush spent in 8 years, Obama also voted for all the spending that was proposed by Bush while Obama was in Congress.

If Obama were a normal citizen instead of President, he’d have creditors after him like crazy! He is not an example of how we should live. I’m also against all the money Bush spent since he was the President that spent the most while he was in office but he had a war to fund.

Something has to be done to stop this. Obama does not live in reality. He has to be doing this in purpose. No real jobs have been created, the stimulus money was simply a slush fund for Obama to pay off all the favors he got (campaign donations) to get into office.

Now we’re looking at more taxes for all of us. This money has to be paid for somehow, right? I’m no economy major, but you put taxes on things that you want to stop – like cigarettes, So by taxing people’s income, you’re saying you want to stop people from working. That’s a bit bassackwards.

Did all the people that wanted Obama to buy them a house get their wish?

What has Obama actually done the last year besides, pick out a dog, have a beer at the White House, go out for extravagant trips with his wife, and spend my grandchildrens’ money?

“When times are tough, you tighten your belts,” the president said. “You don’t go buying a boat when you can barely pay your mortgage. You don’t blow a bunch of cash on Vegas when you’re trying to save for college.”

He wants us to save our money so we can give it to him instead.

Actually, if you want an economy to work, Mr. President, people have to spend money. Again, you’re doing the opposite. Very confusing.
