What the US owes in debt has grown to half of this nation’s GDP because of Obama.

Each family in the US owes $300,000.00 to pay off our national debt – thanks to Obama.

Not only has Obama spent more in his first 6 months than Bush spent in 8 years, Obama also voted for all the spending that was proposed by Bush while Obama was in Congress.

If Obama were a normal citizen instead of President, he’d have creditors after him like crazy! He is not an example of how we should live. I’m also against all the money Bush spent since he was the President that spent the most while he was in office but he had a war to fund.

Something has to be done to stop this. Obama does not live in reality. He has to be doing this in purpose. No real jobs have been created, the stimulus money was simply a slush fund for Obama to pay off all the favors he got (campaign donations) to get into office.

Now we’re looking at more taxes for all of us. This money has to be paid for somehow, right? I’m no economy major, but you put taxes on things that you want to stop – like cigarettes, So by taxing people’s income, you’re saying you want to stop people from working. That’s a bit bassackwards.

Did all the people that wanted Obama to buy them a house get their wish?

What has Obama actually done the last year besides, pick out a dog, have a beer at the White House, go out for extravagant trips with his wife, and spend my grandchildrens’ money?

The President who has spent the most money ever and has done more to increase the national debt than anyone else (including the money he voted for when he was in Congress – remember, Congress votes on spending) tells US how to spend our money:

“When times are tough, you tighten your belts,” the president said. “You don’t go buying a boat when you can barely pay your mortgage. You don’t blow a bunch of cash on Vegas when you’re trying to save for college.”

He wants us to save our money so we can give it to him instead.

Actually, if you want an economy to work, Mr. President, people have to spend money. Again, you’re doing the opposite. Very confusing.

If Obama is blaming Bush for the bad things, Obama can’t just take credit for the good things. He has to give Bush credit for those, too. That’s just weak and wimpy – not Presidential.

And if things would be going great right now, Obama would not be giving Bush credit. Obama says his policies weren’t in place for several months – well, people just knowing what was coming down the pike was enough to have things change. If they would have thought that Obama’s changes were going to be good, then there would have been improvement even before Obama got his policies in place.

No, we’re not stupid. Sure, Obama can spin something and all the media play along but we’re not idiots out here.

The Democrats, who have the most power right now can’t get things done except give themselves raises and use our money to create slush funds for themselves. So why does the group in power have problems passing healthcare?

I think it comes down to their nature. If you’re a democrat, you’re wired differently. You’re wired to believe less in foundational truths, you have a hard time with faith and you’re more emotional. That’s not good or bad, really – just how things are. Let’s recognize that and work with it. So what the Democrats are doing right now is they have their finger up in the wind, trying to see which way it’s blowing. Poll numbers drive the party’s thinking. They’re emotionally feeling like they’re not popular – which means that this health care legislation had nothing to do with doing what’s right but rather doing what seemed to be right to them at one point. If health care legislation was really worth pursuing then why did they have to sell it so hard and shove it down our throats? No wonder we don’t like the taste of it anymore.

I think for the best health care legislation to go through, you need balance from both sides. Some people are wired more in logic and want facts and numbers while other are wired for emotion and operate that way. When you close the doors to work out the details, shut off the TV coverage and stay one sided, what did you think would happen?

And the economy recovering? The Dems should be careful about taking credit for any good signs or they will totally miss the mark. It’s the American people that took the hit and they are the ones that worked to get us all out of it. If anything, the government made everything last longer by mucking with the system and artificially injecting it with borrowed money. Forget green jobs for now – just give us normal jobs. Duh.

200 Days In, Vice President Biden Touts Recovery Act (voices.washingtonpost.com)

Vice President Biden declared Thursday that the $787 billion economic stimulus program is playing a major role in lifting the nation’s economy out of the worst financial downturn since the Great Depression.

Offering an assessment of the program 200 days after its enactment, Biden said that the legislation has moved the country from the edge of a financial abyss into what increasingly looks like an economic recovery.

“The Recovery Act has played a significant role in changing the trajectory of our economy and changing the conversation about the economy in this country,” Biden said in a speech at the Brookings Institution in the District. “Instead of talking about the beginning of a depression, we are talking about the end of a recession.”

…”I am optimistic that their report will show that we met or exceeded” the goals set for the program, Biden said. The administration said the law would create or save 3.5 million jobs over two years.

So, ok… a few things.

First, so it was the government that “saved” the country, not the hardworking American people. Hmm.

Second, it’s better? Lots of people are still losing their jobs every month. Here in Wisconsin, we’ve lost manufacturing (partly thanks to our sorry governor and very high taxes here in Wisconsin). So this – right now how things are – is what they call success? It’s over? This is it? That was their plan? This was their goal?
