Obama Doesn’t Seem to Like His Job
There’s a little bit of truth when you joke, right? Joking about stuff is clever because you get to hear yourself say the truth but it’s disguised as a joke, so it’s not taken seriously. You get the release you need but it’s supposed to not have any meaning. People do it all the time. That’s why words matter.
Obama calls debate prep ‘a drag’ (thehill.com)
President Obama played some hookey from his intense debate preparation early this week in Las Vegas, visiting a campaign field office in nearby Henderson and chatting with volunteers for his re-election effort.
“It’s very nice. Although basically they’re keeping me indoors all the time. It’s a drag. They’re making me do my homework,” Obama joked with volunteer Andrea Stinger.
Obama thinks debate prep is a drag. I guess he’s not out partying with celebs or playing golf or basketball or going to Las Vegas or to Martha’s Vineyard or on other expensive trips.
Yeah, I guess if you’re President of the United States, you actually have to work… really hard. Maybe that wasn’t in the brochure. They should put that in there… or better yet, let’s elect someone who knows it’s work and is up for the job.
