Is the Honeymoon Over with Obama?
Obama’s handling of the economy, foreign affairs and other issues is starting to wear on Americans. There’s talk of another Simulus Plan, too. The deficit healthcare plans and new budget also don’t seem to be a plan to save the economy as taxes will have to increase – where Obama will have to go against what he promised during his campaigning last year.
People that voted for Obama are seeing him bail out Wall Street and Corporations while they receive nothing, which doesn’t meet their expectations Obama set during the campaign.
Daily Presidential Tracking Poll (www.rasmussenreports.com)
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 30% of the nation’s voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-eight percent (38%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of –8. The President’s Approval Index rating has fallen six points since release of a disappointing jobs report last week
Meanwhile, you’ve got Obama taking Air Force One on trips with his family (not to mention a scary joy ride around New York City) and Michelle Obama parading around in expensive clothes while the rest of the country is dealing with job losses and watching every penny. There’s a disconnect there showing that the Obamas are not in touch with the American people who put them in office.
Yeah, the honeymoon is over. Obama has messed with the economy enough to where he owns it now (he’s had it since 2006 when he was in the Democratic controlled Congress). No more Bush blaming. People want results and they’re not seeing any.
The only good thing, in my opinion, is that gas prices are holding at a good level $2.39/gal right now in Wisconsin) but Obama has nothing to do with that in he, in fact, wants gas prices higher.
