Obama’s Change Changes
So Obama put up the Change.gov website and then took all the content off of it.
EXCLUSIVE: Agenda disappears from Obama Web site
Over the weekend President-elect Barack Obama scrubbed Change.gov, his transition Web site, deleting most of what had been a massive agenda copied directly from his campaign Web site.
Gone are the promises on how an Obama administration would handle 25 different agenda items – everything from Iraq and immigration to taxes and urban policy – all items laid out on his campaign Web site, www.BarackObama.com.
Right now, all the “The Agenda” page says is this:
President-Elect Obama and Vice President-Elect Biden have developed innovative approaches to challenge the status quo in Washington and to bring about the kind of change America needs.
The Obama Administration has a comprehensive and detailed agenda to carry out its policies. The principal priorities of the Obama Administration include: a plan to revive the economy, to fix our health care, education, and social security systems, to define a clear path to energy independence, to end the war in Iraq responsibly and finish our mission in Afghanistan, and to work with our allies to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon, among many other domestic and foreign policy objectives.
This 95% tax cut thing isn’t coming, people. Sorry to disappoint you. The Bush tax cuts will expire and by the time Obama sets up all these prorams that he wants to, there will be no way to cut taxes but instead increase them. So he will have lied. I can’t believe everyone thought that a Democrat would slash taxes. Clinton promised the same thing, remember and he raised taxes. He said he had to go back on his promise. So will Obama. Save up your pennies – you’ll need them.
